However, the conventional rotary motor-driven ball screw imposed limits on the machine&#8217;s responsiveness, and as a result, the pursuit of increased accuracy was limited as well. Matsuura addressed this problem in 1999 with the development of our very first linear motor machine, the <span class=\"abi\">LX-1<\/span>. \nBy adopting the linear motor drive, the axis feed mechanism could be simplified, and the machine&#8217;s responsiveness improved remarkabley over that of the ball screw drive. Additionally, with a linear drive on all axes, the machine could achieve a rapid feedrate of 90m\/min and a max. acceleration of 1.5G. <\/p>\n          <\/div>\n        <\/section>\n        \n
