5-Axis + multi-pallet system.
Long-hour unmanned operation,High-mix/low-volume production.
Specialized for 5-Axis machining.

In 1991, Matsuura decided on a new corporate motto: “Humans, Earth, and Technology.” This motto represented our mission to promote our individuality and maintain our high standards of respect for our employees and customers during corporate globalization. The goal was to put people first, while at the same time striving to be a global company helping to create a better future through its products.
In 1991, the first product to rise to the ideals of this new motto was developed: a super small cell veritical 5-axis machining center, the MAM72-1. The upgraded version, the MAM72-1S, was released the very next year in 1992. In the beginning of Japan’s Heisei Era, regulations on working conditions in industries such as manufacturing put strict controls on overtime work and annual working hours. The MAM72-1S was developed in response to this movement by offering reduced setup time and the adoption of a cell system that allowed for unmanned operation on the weekends, improving conditions for workers without sacrificing production.
