Matsuura Manufacturing

Integrated Production
with Micron-Level Precision
in Every Part
The manufacturing floor that upholds Matsuura quality
In the end, precision is multiplicative in nature, rather than additive.
A machine tool is made up of roughly 20,000 parts. The precision of every single part ultimately determines the machine's final accuracy. However, this level of precision is not a matter of addition, but multiplication. No matter how high the precision of all other parts may be, a single part with insufficient precision is enough to greatly harm overall performance.
That is why we handle the entire process in-house, from component development and design to machining and assembly, fully committed to micron-level precision every step of the way.
Straight where it must be straight; square where it must be square.
Machines with slight misalignments can still move "straight" through electrical corrections. Even if it's possible to temporarily compensate for these misalignments, though, repeated corrections cause stress on the parts, eventually leading to deterioration and loss of accuracy. Matsuura machines achieve long service life and sustained accuracy because we remain faithful to the fundamentals: straight where it must be straight; square where it must be square. From hand scraping by skilled craftsmen to the countless steps that follow, we carry out each process with time and care to achieve the highest level of precision.
